OUR STORY

Golden Delight Foods was founded in 1990 and is still a family led company to this day! Back in the 90’s we started with only Doner on our product list; introducing this, then new product to fast foods chains and restaurants up and down the country ...with this being a staple now in every fish and chip shop, I think it’s fair to say we started a bit of a food revolution here in the UK.  Nowadays, doner is still a huge part of our business (specialising in whole cut meats rather than MRMs) but now sits alongside a whole range of other quality meat products, such as marinated chicken, pizza toppings, steak candaian slices, peri peri, chicken rashers and many more!

 

Our central location, in the heart of Birmingham, is ideally suited to keep the food miles low. This not only helps reduce the environmental impact of our company, but, along with the fact we only source British meat within a single day of slaughter, ensures that our food is always fresh ...with a difference you can taste.  

 

HMC, HCE and HMB CERTIFIED

Our factory is 100% Halal, fully accredited by the Halal Certification Europe (HCE), Halal Monitoring Board (HMB) and the Halal Monitoring Comittee UK (HMC).

 

The HMC is an independent, non-profit, registered charity organisation whose main aim is to certify the production of genuine Halal food. HMC complies with the UK Laws for food production, as well as Islamic dietary compliance Laws. It promotes animal welfare, food safety, hygiene and quality, in compliance with UK Law and within the teachings of the Islamic faith. No item of food gets the HMC yellow stamp without an independant HMC Control Officer personally being there during production (and slaughter), to assure each and every piece meets the highest standards of Halal.
